ATHENS
BOOSTERS.

Support needed its own digital home. The booster-facing experience was separated from the football website so membership, volunteering, sponsors, fundraising and community support could have a mission-built presence of their own.

THE MISSION

SUPPORT THE EAGLES.
ORGANIZE THE SUPPORT.

Athens Football needed a digital ecosystem, not one overloaded website. The Booster Club needed a dedicated property built around participation, sponsor value and community support, with a future operating layer behind it.

The Objective

Give the Booster Club a professional digital home for membership, volunteering, fundraising, sponsorships, events and community participation while keeping a clear connection back to Athens Football.

The Starting Point

The support organization serves a different mission from the football team site, which meant the digital architecture had to separate responsibilities without separating the community.

01The football website needed to stay focused on team, game-day and fan information.
02Booster participation needed clearer paths for joining, volunteering, sponsoring and donating.
03Sponsors needed meaningful recognition instead of being reduced to a wall of logos.
04The long-term vision called for connected Athens properties rather than disconnected websites.
THE ARCHITECTURE

ONE ATHENS.
DIFFERENT MISSIONS.

The Booster Club sits inside a connected Athens Football digital ecosystem: distinct purpose, shared identity and clear cross-site paths.

THE BUILD

FROM SUPPORT PAGE
TO A DIGITAL HOME.

The work separates the public Booster mission from the football information mission, then points toward BOOSTOS as the operational layer that can organize day-to-day booster activity.

PHASE 01 // BOOSTER WEBSITE

Support The Eagles

A bold Athens black-and-gold public experience focused on getting people involved.

PHASE 02 // COMMUNITY PATHS

Join. Volunteer. Sponsor. Donate.

The information architecture is organized around the ways families, alumni and businesses can participate.

PHASE 03 // BOOSTOS

Operations Direction

A purpose-built concept for managing events, funding requests, sponsorships, members, projects and booster operations.

Support The Eagles

The Booster Club receives its own identity and call-to-action system rather than living as a small section inside the football site.

PROBLEMS SOLVED

THE HARD PART WAS
THE BOUNDARY.

The design problem was deciding what belongs to football, what belongs to boosters, and how those experiences remain connected without becoming one giant navigation tree.

Problem: Putting every support function inside the football site would dilute both experiences.

Change: The Booster Club became its own digital property with persistent paths back to Athens Football.

Outcome: Fans follow the team while supporters have a dedicated place to act.
Problem: Sponsors are central to the program but traditional sponsor pages often provide little value.

Change: The architecture reserves meaningful sponsor presentation, opportunities and spotlight-style recognition.

Outcome: Sponsorship becomes part of the community experience.
Problem: Athletics traffic is heavily mobile, especially when people are already at games and events.

Change: Navigation and calls to action are organized around quick, obvious routes instead of deep menus.

Outcome: The support experience remains usable from the stands.
Problem: Public participation and internal booster operations are different jobs.

Change: The website handles the public mission while BOOSTOS is being shaped as the internal command layer for events, funding, members, sponsors and projects.

Outcome: The ecosystem has room to grow without forcing internal workflows into public pages.

BOOSTOS // IN DEVELOPMENT

BOOSTOS is being shaped as the command layer for running that support.

Status note: The dedicated Booster Club website and the long-term ecosystem are documented project directions. BOOSTOS is intentionally labeled in development here so the case study does not present unfinished operating-system capability as deployed production functionality.
THE RESULT
ONE COMMUNITY.
A CLEARER WAY TO SUPPORT IT.

Dedicated Identity

The Booster Club has room for its own mission, messaging and calls to action.

Connected Ecosystem

The Booster experience remains linked to the larger Athens Football digital presence.

Operational Path

BOOSTOS provides a defined direction for turning booster administration into a managed system.
