R6 // CASE STUDY 003

SUNTRONICS
LED.

The product gallery stopped being a folder problem. We rebuilt the public product experience around live categories and real product photography, then gave Suntronics a simple operating layer for managing the imagery that drives it.

THE MISSION

MAKE THE PRODUCTS
IMPOSSIBLE TO MISS.

Suntronics sells visual products. The website therefore had to make product discovery fast, image-heavy and easy to maintain as new displays, categories and photography were added.

The Objective

Create a stronger customer-facing LED product experience and connect it to a lightweight SUNOS management layer so product galleries could be maintained without editing the public page every time.

The Starting Point

The core challenge was synchronization: public categories, gallery images and category covers all needed to stay truthful to what was actually available.

01Product discovery needed clear categories for displays, scoreboards, message centers and video-wall style solutions.
02Public galleries needed to update from current product photography rather than static markup.
03Empty or invalid image records could not be allowed to break or clutter the public experience.
04The owner needed a fast way to upload imagery and choose category covers.
THE ARCHITECTURE

IMAGES IN SUNOS.
PRODUCTS ON THE SITE.

SUNOS manages the product media layer. The public product experience discovers valid categories and images, then renders what is actually available.

SUNOSMEDIA CONTROL
THE BUILD

FROM STATIC PRODUCT ART
TO LIVE GALLERIES.

The public site and SUNOS were built as one loop: add valid product media in the operating layer, then let the customer-facing gallery update from that source.

PHASE 01 // PUBLIC EXPERIENCE

Product Discovery

A darker, more modern Suntronics experience centered on product categories, projects and sales actions.

PHASE 02 // DYNAMIC PRODUCTS

Live Category Rendering

Product categories and galleries are generated from the current valid media structure.

PHASE 03 // SUNOS

Product Media Control

Upload, review, select category covers and remove product images from the management layer.

PHASE 04 // HARDENING

Image Scrub + Upload Recovery

Upload handling and image validation were hardened after real-world server errors exposed edge cases.

Product Discovery

The public experience was reorganized so customers could move quickly from the brand to the type of LED solution they need.

PROBLEMS SOLVED

WHEN MEDIA BREAKS,
THE SITE FEELS IT.

The engineering work centered on making a media-driven public site reliable even when uploads, folders or images were imperfect.

Problem: Server-side upload behavior produced Request object and JSON/HTML failure modes during image uploads.

Change: The upload path and handling were reworked until SUNOS could accept supported product imagery reliably.

Outcome: Product media could be maintained through the operating layer.
Problem: Zero-byte files, unsupported files or non-image artifacts could leak into a folder-driven gallery.

Change: The product renderer was hardened to use valid JPG/JPEG/PNG assets and skip unusable content.

Outcome: Public galleries remain clean and intentional.
Problem: A category with no products or images should not create a dead public card.

Change: Category discovery checks whether usable images exist before exposing the area publicly.

Outcome: The public site only presents meaningful product paths.
Problem: Category cards needed a deliberate hero image, but administrators should not be blocked if one was not explicitly selected.

Change: SUNOS supports a dedicated cover with fallback to the first valid gallery image.

Outcome: Categories stay visually complete while remaining easy to manage.
SYSTEMS DEPLOYED

VISUAL PRODUCTS.
CONTROLLED MEDIA.

The value is the connection between what Suntronics uploads and what customers immediately see.

TWO SIDES OF THE SYSTEM

WHAT CUSTOMERS BROWSE.
WHAT SUNOS FEEDS.

The public product experience is the visible layer. SUNOS is the maintenance loop that keeps those product galleries current.

PUBLIC EXPERIENCE

Customers browse the LED solutions and product imagery.

SUNOS LOGIC
SUNOS LOGIC

SUNOS controls the category imagery that feeds the public experience.

Visual note: The current case-study package uses the real public Suntronics screenshot for both views because we have source code for the SUNOS media manager but not a clean production screenshot bundled in this build.
THE RESULT
THE PRODUCT PAGE CHANGES
WHEN THE MEDIA CHANGES.

Faster Product Discovery

Customers can move directly into the LED category that fits the mission.

Simple Media Control

New imagery and category covers can be managed through SUNOS.

Cleaner Public Output

Invalid images and empty categories are kept out of the customer experience.
